I am a writer and trust me there is nothing as fulfilling and rewarding as writing. If you are the chosen one to be blessed with the writing skills then feel great that you belong to this generation. A writing career in the bygone years was unheard of. In fact, it was not even considered as a profession. It was restricted to a mere hobby. But times surely have changed (Thank God for that!!!) and this talent has finally found a place in the job market.

Why writing is an excellent option for women?
The umpteen advantages which writing career offers makes it an inviting option for women. In which other profession can you find so much of flexibility? You can work wherever you want, whenever you want and howsoever you want. The monetary benefits which a talented writer can reap are a plenty. The satisfaction which one gets after writing a perfect article is indescribable. (Trust me on that one!!!) Unlike other professions, there is no such thing as work pressure in this field. This option is especially great for mothers who do not wish to leave their kids at home. They can become freelancers and work from their pad. And of course, the fact that you can reach out to the world through your words is simply great.

5 Great career options in writing
Technical writing: In this world of ever-growing technology, technical writer’s job will always be in demand. The customers need to be updated about the software in the simplest language. A technical writer prepares manuals, catalogs, appendices etc., giving information about the product.
Pay packet: 12,000 to 15,000 per month

Resume writing: It is not an easy task to write an impressive resume and people can pay you handsomely for writing a perfect CV. A little knowledge about the requirements of the organization and writing skills can help you write a great resume.
Pay packet: Around 10,000 per month

Web Content writing: Writing for the electronic media is a bit challenging. One needs to know the psyche of a web reader, the optimization techniques, the presentation style etc. The content should be brief, informative and catchy.
Pay Packet: 10,000 to 15,000 per month

Ghost writing: One can become a ghost writer for a celebrity. These writers write the memoirs or autobiographies of the famous people. A ghost writer is paid to put the thoughts of famous people on the paper.
Pay Packet: Depends upon the experience and skills.

Science writing: Some writers assist scientists and researchers in writing their research papers, journals, articles etc. Such writers need to have expertise in their chosen field along with the flair for writing.
Pay Packet: Depends upon the experience and skills.

So now that you know how lucrative your skills with the pen can be, what are you waiting for? Just pick up a pen and use your gift with words, write (oops!) right?

In today’s competitive world, “teamwork” is one of the most essential parts. Much of the success of the team depends upon a good boss. An able leader can lead his/her team to the goal. What kind of a boss are you? Do you remind your team mates of hell or heaven? Do your subordinates respect you out of fear or love? Well, a few important traits make a good boss. Let us find out what they are.

Top 9 Traits of a Good Boss
Good listener: The crux of good communication lies in good listening. A good boss will actively listen to what the team has to say. By knowing what others feels and want, a leader can understand their problems. Also this is a good way of getting close to your workers.

Takes the responsibility: A leader who can take the responsibility of getting things done is great. In case something goes wrong, he/she should take the entire blame for it. Instead of the blame game, a good boss will put himself/herself in the tight spot and bear the criticism.

Appreciates: People work better when their efforts are acknowledged. A pat on the back, a letter of appreciation or a simple “good job, guys” will do the trick. He/she does not just take the result into consideration but also the hard work that one puts into the job.

Takes action: A good boss is an “action” person. A leader never waits for others to do things, but does it himself/herself. Pro-action is one of the traits of good boss. This enthusiasm also rubs on to his team mates, making them achieve their targets.

Sensitive: A good boss is sensitive to the feelings of his/her team mates. We work with human beings and not machines. And humans perform better when there is someone who understands their problems and feelings. Sensitivity is not a mark of a weak person but a sensible one.

Awareness: A good leader knows what is going on in his/her team. He/she is aware of what each of the team members is doing and achieving. This knowledge helps him/her take necessary action in time. A good boss has all the data at fingertips.

Calm composure: A person who keeps his cool all the time makes a perfect boss.

Adversities do not build character they just reveal them. Maintaining composure during crisis is the best way to deal with it. Only then can we come up with sensible plan of action.

Impartial: A leader needs to see everyone equally. There should not be any kind of favouritism among the team mates. Failure to do so will make him/her unpopular. Others might lose respect for the boss and might not give their best performance. In fact a good boss sees all the employees as his/her equals.

Motivator: One of the most important traits of a good boss is to motivate people. Instead of just words, he/she should walk the talk. Actions definitely speak louder than words. A perfect boss will encourage the team members by practicing what is preached.

We are humans after all. We do fall in love. Many times, we are in love with a person, but fail to communicate how we feel towards that person. There could be many reasons for it. Sometimes we are shy, or we are unable to find the right words, or perhaps we are afraid of rejection. What ever said and done, our feelings remain within our heart and we can lose out on true friendship.

In romantic novels and poems, poets and novelists have often described how a lover falls in love madly, but fails to win over his beloved sometimes, or is rather hesitant to convey his or her feelings. Many times, the heroine or hero of the novels remains a bystander watching his or her beloved being betrothed to another person. Even in films, particularly in films from India, one comes across such a story line.

It is not that easy to convey one’s love for another person. One has to be very sensitive to the other person’s feelings. Imposing oneself on another person may not be liked. One has to convey one’s feelings very subtly.

The inevitable question that arises in our mind is how to convey our true feelings to our beloved? Here are some suggestions :

How to express one’s love to one’s beloved?

Body language is very important. Many feelings can be conveyed through eyes alone. Also a mere hand touch can express one’s inner most desire for a person.

Singing a song can also convey one’s love for a person. In films often one sees the hero or heroine singing his or her joyous feelings or disappointment in love affairs.

“Silence is golden” as they usually say. Sometimes one need not say anything, but remain just quiet as such quietness can convey much.

One can recite poetry or read verses containing feelings of love to one’s beloved. It can be very romantic.

At times one can ask a friend to be a mediator and take his or help to convey one’s feelings for one’s beloved.

Falling in love is often considered to be a natural process, but conveying one’s feelings for a person requires much effort. It is better to convey much in few words.

It is often said that love is blind. We fall in love with a person irrespective of his or her looks or background. A person is attracted to another person for various reasons. It could be money, it could be looks or some inherent qualities. The desire to be with another person is there and in many cases one would like to strengthen the bonds by tying the marriage knot.

Falling in love usually is based on emotions rather than logic. Often the emotions are not rationalized. One just falls in love because one is attracted to the other person.

From ancient times, people have been falling in love and most of the time it has been love at first sight. A man comes across a beautiful woman and the moment he sees her he falls in love with her. He decides to make her his wife. There are many folk stories revolving such instances. Sometimes by merely talking with a person for the first time, one may fall in love.

Often people wonder why a person has fallen in love with a particular person as they see nothing “great” in that person. But love is an emotion which an individual experiences by himself or herself.

Why is love blind?

Love is blind as one usually likes a person irrespective of who he or she is. In other words, one can fall in love with a stranger also.

Love is not based on rational feelings. You simply like someone. In fact, love at first sight is often experienced as one can fall in love at the very first meeting itself.

Love is above looks. Even if a person is not all that good looking, one can fall in love with that person. It is more of a charismatic attraction, although it can be physical also.

There are times one may hate a person when coming across the person, but the moment the person starts conversing he or she may fall in love. In other words, love has no boundaries. It encompasses all kinds of barriers.

Even a blind person can fall in love merely by feeling the presence of a person, implying love is blind. One can feel it.

Love is am emotion that most people experience it at some point or time. A person falls in love for various reasons, which perhaps may not appear very rational to another person.

Relationships, or for that matter marriages, are not smooth all the time. There are ups and downs in one’s relationships and one has to make up with his or her spouse or girlfriend or boyfriend. Although, one would like to be nice all the time, but this is not always possible. Human emotions vary according to moods, and sometimes one may flare up even over a trivial reason.

It is simply not possible that couples would always remain nice to each other. One hundred percent of compatibility is not possible. After all two individuals of different temperaments are living under the same roof. They are bound to have differences. There would be fights among them and they would have to make sincere efforts again to bridge the gap.

Losing temper in a relationship is very common and this may antagonize one’s partner. Naturally, one would not want the relationship to go sour. What is the way out? Obviously, one has to try to make it up with one’s spouse. How you may ask? Here are a few suggestions:

How to make up with a spouse ?

The first and foremost thing one must do is to apologize. Saying sorry can do wonders to a relationship. It means overcoming one’s ego. After all, one must realize that by losing one’s temper one has hurt the sentiments of the other person.

One can make it by sending a beautifully worded card or perhaps a bunch of roses, with a card saying “I love you” or buy a lovely gift.

One can go out for dinner at a famous restaurant and then go out to superb movie that is showing in town.

One can shower lots of love and affection on the other person. This makes the offended person feel that you really care for him or her.

One can also do the chores in the house which would make a wife very happy. She would be relieved from the boredom of daily chores in the house.

Having a fight with a spouse and then making it up is indeed quite an experience. In fact, such fights can often bring two people more closer, as they try their level best to make up. The person who has offended tries to assuage the feelings of the offended person and in the process expresses his or her deep love for the other person.

Our skin is a living thing and like any other living creature it craves for certain things. But the cravings of the skin are for its health and beauty. Like humans and animals, even skin needs food, water and rest. Food is essential for its nourishment and vitality. Water or moisture is essential in keeping the skin supple and soft. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water in a day. Whatever wear and tear the skin undergoes during the whole day is countered and repaired while we are asleep. So a healthy skin even craves for at least 8 hours of sleep in a day.

We tend to avoid simple skincare steps due to our busy schedule and stressful lifestyle. Only cleansing or only moisturizing is not enough to keep your skin healthy. If your skin is left unattended after a thorough session of cleansing then it craves for moisture or moisturizing. And if the skin is not cleaned and regularly moisturized, your skin would crave for proper cleaning and dryness.

Skin Craving

Choosing the best moisturizing cream for your skin requires a lot of thought.

Skincare products must be deprived of any harmful chemicals and alcohol, as these can cause dryness and tightening of the skin.

Use products that have natural products and not many harmful chemicals in them.

Consider a mild cleanser over any harsh ones so that the essential oil cannot be stripped away from the skin.

Over age, our skin tends to lose collagen. Collagen is a network of tissue which keeps our skin young and healthy. These collagens keep the skin tight and firm and once these are lost, the skin looks older and sagging. Our skin starts craving for a proper skin pampering session.

Skin protection

To keep our skin tight and young, the collagen must be in place. Our skin must be protected from the wind, rain, sun, snow and all other elements that can affect our skin.

A good sunscreen lotion is extremely important for protection against the harmful sunrays.

Cosmetics with an SPF 15-30 must be considered.

Sunscreen lotions must be worn even during the winters. These are not limited only for the summer days.

Cleanse your face twice daily using a mild cleanser. Then use a good moisturizing agent.

Neglecting your regular skincare regimen can speed the aging signs.

Marriage is usually a long term commitment. Couples when they marry decide to stay together forever. In fortunate cases, marriage does survive for whatever reason it may be, but there are situations when couples decide to separate. Many reasons are responsible for divorce, and boredom is one of them.

In the West, couples when they get bored with each other prefer to breakup the relationship, but in the East couples continue to live together even if they are bored with each other as society lays down strictures for a single woman. It is not all that easy for a single woman to survive in Eastern society, unless and until a she is financially and can emotionally withstand the problems that a single woman faces.

Boredom appears to be a very trivial reason for a marriage to break down, but in the West couples cannot tolerate boredom usually. Marriages are usually successfully when couples are well adjusted with each other. They try to overcome boredom. Well let us see how we an overcome boredom in a marriage?

How to overcome boredom in a marriage?

Couples must not take each other for granted. They have to make constant effort to enjoy each other’s company.

One must take out time from daily chores and spend precious moments together despite having spent many years together. One can go out and have dinner at a favorite restaurant and see an enjoyable movie. This ensures that there are “sparks” in one’s marital life.

One must exchange gifts. It just indicates love for another person.

Celebrating one’s marriage anniversary brings couples closer. It reminds them about their courtship days and how romantically they were inclined towards each other. Now also by celebrating their anniversary, they feel that they are reliving the same moments.

Listening to favorite music together and having candle-light dinners can make a person feel very romantic. One must not give up on such moments. Such moments do not allow boredom to set in in a relationship.

Pursuing hobbies that both the partners are interested in, like for instance, playing a game of tennis or going for a swim or listening to favorite tunes etc.

Cooking for each other is also a great way to enjoy each other’s company. One can cook a meal consisting of dishes that a spouse likes. This would make one feel that the partner cares and wants to continue the relationship.

Marriage they say are made in heaven, but the effort to ensure that they survive lies much on the shoulders of the couples. Partners must not get bored with each other. On the other hand, they must get more romantically inclined as they grow older, so that they feel they need each other’s companionship.

Office has, indeed, become our second home. With more and more women choosing career over marriage, work station seems to be an ideal place to find your life partner. You can meet people with similar background, likes, dislikes and work pressure. The idea of finding love in office is very tempting and many women go through this phase. Once in a relationship with their colleagues, they do not know how to handle it. Although there is nothing wrong in having a romantic relationship at work, you need to know how you should conduct yourself. It is not wise to mix personal and professional life.

Top Ways to Handle an Office Romance
Keep it under wraps: Do not publicize your relationship to the entire office. It is a personal matter and it should remain that way. Do not tell about your romance to everyone at the work place.

Do not get physical: Every office has strict rules against getting physical with the colleagues. Therefore, do not get physical with your man, even if the thought is irresistible.

Be professional:You do not want your work to suffer because of your relationships, do you? If you are truly a professional working women then you will surely act in a mature way.

Keep the personal out of professional: Do not try to mix both the lives with each other. You won’t be able to do justice to neither of them. When at work forget about your man and vice versa.

Do not answer awkward questions: Chances are nosey co-workers will try to probe into your relationship. You have every right to avoid awkward questions about your romantic relationship. Instruct them politely but firmly not to get too curious.

Maintain dignity: Office romance can be a tricky situation. Other colleagues might start taking you for granted and calling you names. In such a situation maintain your dignity.

Do not use pet names: You might call your man whatever you like in private but not in public. Avoid using endearments like “sweetheart”, “darling”, “loverboy” etc., in the office.

No fights in the office: It is quite common for couples to fight or argue. However, bringing your disagreements or anger to work is not the proper way to deal with it. Solve the matter outside the office.

No casual flirting: Office is definitely not the place to flirt or have a casual relationship. I am not preaching here, just being practical. Go ahead with the relationship only if you feel it is a serious one. Your professional reputation is at stake.

Whatever be the outcome of your relationship, make sure you handle an office romance with maturity and a professional attitude.

Couples when they fall in love they pledge to stay together for ever. They feel at that given point of time that they are made for each other and nothing on this earth can separate them. Unfortunately, this is not the case in all situations. As one is well aware, human emotions are very unpredictable and fluctuate very often. It is possible that one may be madly in love with each other, but in course of time one might dislike their spouse. Why is this so? After all, when one has been in love at some time or the other, then why one’s feelings for the other person changes?

How misunderstandings affect a relationship?

Misunderstandings are often the cause for couples to argue over simple issues. These trivial issues can turn out to be a major bottleneck in a relationship. Perhaps a previous girlfriend or boyfriend calling up or sending a greeting card could cause much misunderstanding. Not keeping up with a dinner date or coming late from office could also lead to disharmony in a relationship.

Many couples become suspicious of their partner and tend to distance themselves away from him or her. Lack of trust in such a situation can cause much disharmony and misunderstandings, which eventually lead to separation.

Human emotions are unpredictable. One may be madly in love with each other at a given point of time, but over period of time they may become a bit “cool”. This “cool” attitude can cause much misunderstandings.

Relationships cannot be taken for granted. One has to make a constant effort to keep it going. In case a partner behaves a bit indifferently for his or her own reasons, then this could cause misunderstandings. For example, if a husband forgets the date of his marriage anniversary then his spouse may feel very upset about it. Not wishing goodbye before leaving office, or forgetting to buy a present can mar a relationship.

Reciprocal feelings must be expressed in a relationship. Often a partner might not respond to the other person’s gestures and this could cause misunderstandings.

Relationships are not built overnight. It takes time for partners to understand each other. At the same time relationships are sensitive in nature and any odd behavior or comment from either of the partner can create a storm in their togetherness.

Relationships are built over a time. It is not easy to build up relationships. At the same time it is also difficult to maintain one. Much effort is required on the part of both the partners in order to stay together. Relationships are very sensitive in nature, and even if one partner commits a faux pas, the relationship can go sour.

Those who maintain a relationship on a positive note have less chances of splitting up. Usually, those who are compatible to each other and maintain a harmonious relationship are able to carry on with a relationship. Disharmony can affect a relationship and lead to a break up.

How can one keep a harmonious relationship?

It is important that the couples know each other well. They must be able to understand each other’s feelings well.

Compromises must be made whenever required in order to ensure that there is peace and harmony within the relationship.

Patience is also required. One must bear the other person’s weak points and not offend him or her in any manner on account of these deficiencies.

Try to accommodate other relatives in case there are any. Many partners fight with each other on account of mother-in-law or sis-in-law. It is important to realize that there are relatives also who need to be taken care of. In the East, couples have to live within the frame-work of a larger setup of family ties. The nuclear family set up is now coming into existence in the East, although in the West it is already there. Nevertheless, partners need to pay attention to other relatives as well.

Partners must not get bored with each other. They must take some time off from their busy schedules and find time for each other.
It is important to have a gala time once in a while, like candle-light dinner or going to see a favorite movie, or a visit to a popular eatery. One must do something for fun and try to live the days that one experiences during courtship.

Exchanging gifts on birthdays or marriage anniversaries is also another way to convey continued love for each other.

Relationships are built on trust and faith and couples need to strengthen such bonds. They need to be able to communicate their feelings and thoughts freely to each other, without any reservations.
